Casa de las Flores is a gay owned B&B right in the heart of Ajijic about 3.5 miles from Chapala.
Before I get into the details of our B&B and the beautiful area in which it’s situated allow me to first answer the most common question we receive from our potential gay clientele.
Is Ajijic Mexico a Gay friendly Community?
The answer to this important question is a 100% resounding yes! If you have already visited Ajijic before this answer comes as no surprise. If you are considering a visit, to our B&B or even our friendly competitors B&B, please put your mind at ease about how gay friendly this community is. Here’s why:
- Ajijic was profiled in The Advocate magazine and given the thumbs up! You can read the article here.
- Ajijic currently has a population of over 150 gay couples that live here permanently and that number continues to grow quickly.
- Fernando and I are gay and we invested a ton of money into Casa Flores. We would never move to or invest in an area where the people within it are not gay friendly and welcoming.
- There is just this great free spirit type of attitude in Ajiic that promotes friendship and kindness among everyone.
Although not exclusively a gay clientele, our business is mixed and as is typical of the area in general, the two communities just seem to blend together without distinction.
Actually, Casa Flores is a perfect place for gay singles or couples to base their stay as we can discuss our experiences of life here as a gay couple. Maybe you’re considering a part time or full time move to Mexico... we will be happy advise. Personally, we love the area and have never had any kind of problem within this community.
Okay, now that that question is answered let me tell you about our intimate, relaxing B&B and the surrounding area.
You can walk to the town plaza in about 3 minutes. In fact, Casa Flores is perfectly situated for exploring different cuisine, art galleries, bars, public markets and more.
Even though the town does not have any form of gay club there is a club that has recently opened in Chapala, the next town over. In Ajijic there are many bars and restaurants welcoming to all lifestyles."
Staying in is a wonderful idea also. You will find our rooms are lavishly decorated and include all the amenities you would expect, plus a few more that you may not. We have four suites available all with a unique style and ambience. Please, take a moment and look at the Casa Flores rooms for yourself.
Every Friday evening we serve a 3 course dinner. The menu is a surprise, a secret that changes with each week. Our guests love the ambience we have created for dining and the secret menu just makes it that much more of a fun experience. People tend to mingle throughout the evening... it’s an ice breaker for sure.
Important: Seating is very limited, just 12 settings, so if you’re interested please book in advance.
All food is prepared and overseen by Chef Fernando and our guests tell us his cuisine is just wonderful and exceptional. Read our Casa Flores food and guest reviews.
We are more than happy to answer any questions that you may have about the area whether you are guests of our B&B or not and we hope that our positivity and enthusiasm for the area will shine through. |
